Beginner to Intermediate Fly Tying ClassRD Fly Fishing
Interested in getting started tying your own flies or just looking for a refresher on some techniques? Then this class is for you, whether you have never tied a fly before and are looking to get into fly tying or an experienced tyer looking to pick up some new techniques or patterns there is something to learn for everyone.
In this 5 hour session David Olson, Chris Kincaid, and Nick Way will cover tying flies to get you equipped to fish in nearly any warmwater or inshore sightfishing scenario you will encounter in the southeast. Not only will we cover how to tie these flies but when, where, and how to fish them effectively. David will cover game changers, Chris will cover flies for bass and brim, and Nick will cover general flats patterns. With the main focus being on the tying techinques used to tie each fly to give you the building blocks to tie most any pattern you wish down the road.
Vise, tools, and material will be provided. Students will get to keep whatever leftover material they have valued at over $100 per tyer. If you do have a vise and tools we encourage you to bring those so you are using what you are familiar with.
Class will be held on Saturday August 13th at Renzetti Inc located at 8800 Grissom Pkwy Titusville, Fl 32780 and run from 9am to 2pm. Lunch and all supplies will be provided.
